Refricentro was originally founded in 1957 in Havana, Cuba by Cirilo C. Hernandez. Due to the changing political climate in Cuba during the early 1960's, Refricentro reestablished itself in Puerto Rico, with its first store opening in Hato Rey, San Juan in 1964.

Refricentro came to Puerto Rico to meet the existing need for a HVAC distributor with a full stock of equipment and accessories at affordable prices.

In 1964, Refricentro began in a small shop on the street Quisqueya #207. Due to the rapid growth of the company, Refricentro moved in the late 1960's to Barbosa Avenue #380, which after several expansions remains the headquarters of the operation.

Through the years, Refricentro has expanded to better serve the Puerto Rican market. Today, Refricentro has 15 branches strategically located across the island to provide better access and service to all of our customers.

Refricentro was founded and continues to grow based on the philosophy of trying to provide the entire HVACR industry in Puerto Rico a wide range of lines and high quality products at the best possible price.
